You're not dating or anything, but you're saying, "hey, let's go in on this pie" without getting Human Resources involved because you overstepped and Pat took your gesture of kindness as more than it was supposed to be.
a $4 a month pledge for continued content is the equivalent of splitting a pizza for lunch with some co-workers. Taking your appreciation of what I'm doing a bit further.
